Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-08-26 · Last updated: 2026-08-26

1. Who we are and what this covers

This policy explains how 15786703 Canada Inc. D.B.A. TissueTinker Bio. ("TissueTinker", "we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information through our website at tissuetinker.com.

We are based in Montréal, Québec, Canada, and handle personal information in accordance with Québec’s *Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector* (Law 25), Canada’s *Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act* (PIPEDA), and, where it applies to visitors in the European Union, EEA, or UK, the *General Data Protection Regulation* (GDPR).

We collect as little personal information as possible, use it only for the purposes below, and do not sell your personal information to anyone.

2. What we collect, and when

We only collect personal information you choose to give us, plus limited technical information needed to run the site:

  • Contact form: when you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
  • Newsletter: if you subscribe, we collect your email address (and any name you provide) through our newsletter provider, Substack.
  • Early access and partnership enquiries: if you reach out about early access or a partnership, we keep the details you share (such as email, name, organization, title, and how you heard about us) to follow up and manage the relationship.
  • Website analytics: we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that produces only aggregate statistics (such as page views and general region). It does not use cookies, does not identify you, and does not track you across other websites.
  • Technical and hosting data: our hosting provider may automatically process standard technical information (such as IP address) to deliver and secure the site.

Our whitepaper is a free, ungated download, so we do not collect any information when you download it.

3. Why we use it

We use your information only to:

  • respond to your enquiries and correspond with you;
  • send you our newsletter, if you’ve asked us to;
  • manage early access and partnership relationships;
  • understand, in aggregate, how the site is used, so we can improve it;
  • operate, secure, and maintain the website.

Our basis for using this information is your consent (which you can withdraw at any time) and, where relevant, our legitimate interest in operating our business and responding to people who contact us.

4. Cookies and embedded content

Our own analytics is cookieless, and we design the site to avoid setting non-essential cookies. As a result, you should not normally see a cookie consent banner.

Some pages may embed content from third parties, for example video (YouTube or Vimeo), LinkedIn posts, or the newsletter signup (Substack). We use privacy-respecting embed options where available, but if you interact with embedded content, that third party may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We link to those providers in Section 5.

5. Who we share it with

We don’t sell your information and we don’t share it for advertising. We do use a small number of reputable service providers ("processors") to run the site and communicate with you, and your information passes through them for that purpose:

  • Netlify: website hosting and contact-form handling. (netlify.com/privacy)
  • Substack: newsletter delivery, consent records, and unsubscribe handling. (substack.com/privacy)
  • Google (Workspace): we store enquiry and contact details in our private Google Workspace account. (policies.google.com/privacy)
  • Cloudflare: cookieless website analytics. (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)
  • Embedded content providers (YouTube or Vimeo, LinkedIn): only if you view or interact with their embedded content.

We may also disclose information if required by law.

6. Where your information is stored (transfers outside Québec)

Some of our service providers store or process information outside Québec, including in the United States. By using the site and providing your information, you understand it may be handled outside the province. We choose reputable providers that apply appropriate safeguards.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected:

  • Enquiries, early access, and partnership details: for as long as we’re in contact or have an active relationship, and a reasonable period after, unless you ask us to delete it.
  • Newsletter: until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.

8. How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including restricting access to the people who need it, using reputable providers, and enabling account security measures such as two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protection seriously and keep what we hold to a minimum.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct it;
  • ask us to delete it;
  • withdraw consent at any time (this won’t affect anything done before you withdrew);
  • for newsletter emails, unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email;
  • complain to a regulator. In Québec, that is the *Commission d’accès à l’information* (CAI).

To exercise any of these, contact us using Section 11. We’ll respond within the time required by law.

10. Newsletter and commercial email

We only send our newsletter to people who have asked to receive it. Every email includes a working unsubscribe link, and we identify ourselves clearly, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Our newsletter provider (Substack) handles consent records and unsubscribes.

11. Contact us and person responsible for privacy

The person responsible for the protection of personal information at TissueTinker is:

Benjamin Ringler, Chief Executive Officer *(Under Law 25 this role defaults to the person with the highest authority unless you formally delegate it.)*

Email: info@tissuetinker.com

12. Children
